バルサのトラップ

息子と同じサッカークラブの子のお母さんが読んでいる、と聞いたので、この本を購入してみた。前から、このほんの存在は知っていたのだけれど、実際に手にとったことはなかった。『おれ、バルサに入る！』（久保健史さん著、文藝春秋）
これは、FCバルセロナの下部組織「カンテラ」に、日本人として初の入団を果たした、久保健英くん（入団当時9歳）のお父さんによる、夢を追いかけるサッカー・キッズ（我が子）の育て方。
まだ、読み始めたばかりだが、目にとまった部分を引用してみる。まずは、トラップについて。
バルサキャンプで行われるボールを止める練習は、日本のスタイルと少し違います。実は、次の二つの技術が大変重要で、私はバルササッカーへの第一歩だと考えています。
・ボールを遠い足で止める練習（左から来たら右足で止める）
・コントロールオリエンタード、ボールを足元に止めるのではなく、自ら動きたい方向に出す練習

この２つの動きを、スペイン現地の人はトラップの基本ととらえています。
日本でトラップと言えばボールを足元に止めることですが、実戦では止める方向や止めた後の動きまで計算に入れるのは当然です。
