オトコマエスギーニョ、モウリーニョ
「オトコマエスギーニョ」という言葉は強引すぎるし、全然イケてない。それはわかっているんだけど、そんなことより、レアル・マドリードの監督、モウリーニョは男前すぎなくない？ いや、わかりにくいな。男前すぎだと思いませんか。ライバルのバルセロナを指揮するグアルディオラだって、いい顔をしているけど、男前勝負ならモウリーニョに軍配かな。
「弟がジョージ・クルーニーっていうんだけど…」とか言っても、案外ウソに聞こえないんじゃないかな。ちょっと言い過ぎかもしれないけど、名将でもありながら、名優といっても通用するのではないか。
ヨーロッパ ・チャンピオンリーグ準決勝第1戦で、レアル・マドリードがバルセロナに敗れたが、61分に自軍の選手がレッドカード退場を受けた際、審判に抗議をし、退席処分になっている。試合後に語った、モウリーニョのコメントがユーモアを含んでいるのことに感心する。
「「私は審判には何も言っていないよ。笑みを浮かべて審判の判定を讃えただけ。これ以上は何も言いたくない。もし自分が今感じていることを彼やUEFA（ヨーロッパ・サッカー連盟）に話したら、自分のキャリアは終わってしまうだろうからね」
これが、世界のサッカー情報サイト「サッカーキング」からの引用だが、怒りさめやらないうちにウィットに富んだ皮肉が言えるのは、さすが西欧人という感じか。日本でこういった発言をおもしろく出せるとしたら、前・楽天監督の野村克也さんくらいだろうか。
