It is sometimes a bit confusing/tricky to find the right xpath to retrieve certain data from an XML file, be it within a script or in the XML data source manager. A few helpful links that can generate an xpath for you. However, you may need to adjust the results a bit depending on whether you use it in a script or in a data source manager.

Since Blackmagic Decklink cards do not initialize correctly in vMix, you MUST switch external output on and off 3 times for safety. vMix is aware of this problem, but is obviously not able to solve the problem on their side.
This requires a script and a web browser input in EVERY project. When the project is started, the website is called once. Since a vMix API command can also be sent via the web browser, this command triggers the script.
Load the GT Title Designer by locating it in the hamburger menu on the bottom right of your screen. The default resolution for a new design will be 19201080. If you want something different, just go to File in the upper left corner, click New, and you will have the chance to set the resolution.
You will see all the different elements you can use to design your title down the left-hand side of the screen. The images represent text, rectangle, circle, triangle, image, 3-D text, ticker, and QR code. You can select any of the options, then click and drag on the canvas to place it and determine the size.
Once you have placed an element on the canvas, you have several options for customizing it. For instance, if you place a shape such as a rectangle on the canvas, you can use your mouse to move it around. Hovering over the edges will allow you to drag to resize. Right-clicking on the object will reveal several options, including changing the fill to a different color or image, adding or editing the stroke outline of the object, sending it forward or backward within the layer, aligning it, or docking it to a specific part of the canvas. You can also create a group layer that will allow you to manipulate multiple objects at once and align them with each other.
There are more options available across the top of the editor, including styles that allow you to choose from some preset options. The format tab provides more specific settings for location, dimensions, rotation, and rounding. The effects tab offers options like opacity, shadow, and reflection.
Adding text is like adding a shape. Just select the text option and click and drag to add it to the canvas. Selecting text and clicking on the Home tab at the top will bring up text options such as font, font size, color, alignment, and stroke.
You can decide if you want this title to hold the actual text you want to display or a placeholder so that it can be edited later. If you wish to use the text as a placeholder to change later, just enter some placeholder text. When you are done, be sure to save your title and exit the designer.
Back in the vMix interface, click on Add Input and select title. When the title menu comes up, you can easily find your new creation by clicking on the Recent tab at the top. Once you select your title, you will have the chance to replace your placeholder text by right-clicking it. Next, you can add that title to one of your overlay channels and activate it to see how it looks with your output source.
Hello,I needed a way to send my lyrics to vMix ( )for my live Show. But I don’t want the “green screen way” to do that because it avoids me to use the output for a real use (only to be used for video mixing with a color Keying).So I write a small piece of software that ask the Stage display API for the current slide text and send it to vMix on prepared text/title Input. The layout is done on vMix (as I get the lyrics in raw text) and the input could be used on the overlay layer you want.If you find it useful, you can find it there: That’s just a software that you setup once then launch it and forget.The development isn’t perfect, but that makes the job done for my needs.
Hey. This sounds like exactly what I am looking for. Thank you for making it available. However, I am just learning vmix and OpenLp and I am not a programmer so forgive my ignorance. I couldn’t find a place at GitHub to give any feedback so I’ll do it here. I tried to setup as per your instructions and they seem very straight forward and clear but, after downloading and extracting the .zip file I couldn’t find the .exe file to actually run lyricstovmix. Over the last three days, as we do every year, Michael Rendulic, my camera operator and colleague, and myself, we’ve been working the trade show floor at NAB to provide coverage for Streaming Media Producer. As the owner of my own corporate video production company, SLV Live, I’m also keenly interested in seeing the new gear and trends for use in my own business.
Our method is well-rehearsed. We spent Monday on the South Lower Hall, and Tuesday in the Central Hall. We scheduled several strategic meetings so we can speak most directly with whomever is the most knowledgeable about the products. But between those scheduled interviews, we’re making a lot of unscheduled visits to everyone else that’s relevant in our own marketplace. Sometimes these visits are the manufacturers of products that I don’t normally use or provide coverage to, and other times it’s to look at new companies, who aren’t necessarily on my radar, who might not have big marketing budgets, and obviously who show a lot of promise. I think back to a few such companies like Atomos, vMix, and Mogulus who started off that way, with a small initial presence at NAB and who are now household names.
