上手に生きるルールとコツ
船井幸雄さんの本『上手に生きるルールとコツ』（グラフ社）。いわずとしれた、船井総合研究所の創業者の船井さんの数ある著書のひとつである。
この本のまえがきには、こうある。
わたしは何十年間も、仕事を通じて「世の中はどのようになっているか？」「人は、どうあるべきか」を見つめ続け、人や会社を「幸せ」にし、「成功」させるのを業にしてきた人間です。
どうすれば成功するか、また失敗するかなどは実によく知っているように思います。
わたし流に言いまして、「成功」とは、自分で「私は幸せだ」と思うだけでなく、多くの人たちから「あの人は幸せな人だ」と思ってもらえる状態のことと定義しています。
まえがきの最後に、「2003年12月14日 東京・高輪の自宅書斎で」とあり、著者の名前が書かれている。その時点で、船井さんは200冊以上の著書を書かれているが、それでもまだ出されたということであるから、意味のある本であるのだろう。
そう思いながら読み進めたが、「１ 成功へみちびく３つのこと」から「71 起こることは決まっている」まで、各項目は１ページか２ページでまとめられていて、
本文が終わるまでで111ページ。
分厚い本ではないが、内容が深い。身がある。メンターがいない人には、ぴったりの本でないだろうか（という僕も、この人がメンターだとはっきり言えるような人はいないと思う）。
あまり長く引用するのは良くないかもしれないが、特に印象に残った２項目を続けて書かせていただくことにする。
18 いやなことはやらなくていい
自分の思っていることに反する行為をすると、
なにかしら抵抗があるでしょう。
悔やむこともあるかもしれません。
そういうことは、やらないほうがよいのです。
やりたいのか、やりたくないのかとまず考えて、
やりたい気持ちが多かったらやりましょう。
わたしは、やりたくないことは、やらないようにしています。
昔は、やりたくないこともやむをえずやりましたが、
ろくなことがありませんでした。
だから、やらないことにしたのです。
それではいいのではないかと思っています。
ですから、半々だったらやめたほうがよいと思います。
人生のほとんどのことは計画して生まれてくるので、
計画にしたがったことをすると運がついてうまくやれますし、
それをやりたいなという気にもなるわけです。
半分もやりたくないという気がするときは、
それは計画に合っていないからです。
やめておいたほうがよいと思います。
それから、かなり迷うというのも、
しないほうがよいことだと考えるのがよいでしょう。
いやなことは、まずやらないほうがよいようです。
19 やりたいことをやる
良心が認めて、
感性がいいと判断して、
そして理性で考えてもいいと思うことは、
よいことですから、どんどんやりましょう。
直感力などと、難しく考えないほうがよいのです。
理性と感性が一致するように生きることです。
あわないときは、そのことをやめたほうがよいでしょう。
迷ったらやめなさいというのは、そういうことです。
迷うというのは、理性と感性が一致していないことなのです。
自分の心がいちばんやりたい、
ということを選んだほうがよいのです。
全文を引用するわけにはいかないけど、上記の２つは、話がつながっていて、なおかつ僕の心に、特に突きささったページ（３ページ分）。
迷ったとき、悩んだとき、腹が立ったとき、この本を開いてみればいい。なんて、僕は偉そうなことを言える立場でもないけれど。
分厚くないて、1時間もあれば読めそうだけど、何度読んでも味わえる、読む度に心に響くページが違う、そんな本だと思う。
