Am I the only one who has fallen fowl of this Company? It seems they are Judge, Jury and Executioner when it comes to changing their policies, forgetting their loyal customers who paid good money for them to exist. If this is how they treat their loyal customers, just think what they must be like to work for! I pity their employees. If nothing else, ManyCam has FAILED to honour all customers who purchased a Premium Lifetime Subscription! Shame on you!!!

This is NOT the way you treat your customers.The correct way would be to grandfather in Lifetime subscribers and let the new subscription model be for new users. Or AT LEAST give us a minimum of 10 year free use.
Adding my disgust at this bait and switch. Supported ManyCam for years. Bought a lifetime sub, now they yank away the football. And at some point I suspect version 7 will cease functioning forcing our hand. E-mails go unreturned.

Oh my! This is really really wrong! I have 2 lifetime subscriptions which I manage (one for my church and one for me) and I received the same error message that my subscription type does not cover ManyCam 8.
@Mike88I moved to vMIX. It is more expensive and is only supported on Windows but has many more bells and whistles and to me I moved primarily since allowed MIDI control of many things. I use an Akaipro APC-MINI to do my switching etc.
Lifetime Licenses give you perpetual access to the version of ManyCam that was available when you purchased. For example, ManyCam 6 Lifetime gives you all ManyCam 6.X updates but not access to the next version, ManyCam 7, etc.

Agreed with all the above. This is outrageous behaviour!A premium Lifetime License must remain exactly as what was sold to us. I have multiple licenses, which have all effectively been cancelled by this update.

Yes it sucks. I upgraded yesterday from version 5.0 to 7 to find that youtube links do not work. Downloading and inserting as a mediafile is boring, takes time etc. I hoped that version 7 would do the trick again like version 5.0 did for a long time.

Are there any first of a kind users with Apple M1 Chip? I have MacMini with M1 Chip and no virtual cam works with Webex under the google chrome browser. Manycam is just not visible at all on this computer. It is a mess and frustrating.
Update from my post of one hour ago. I found a link for ManyCam 7.8.0.5 with which I was able to access layer management options through the preset panel. I still cannot access the options by right clicking on the active window itself. Perhaps this function is no longer offered?
Bigger problem is that Intel virtual cameras will not run on M1, so neither the Manycam nor OBS virtual cameras work. mmhmm, which is available free for educators right now, does work because it has been updated. However, it lacks the scene selection capabilities in Manycam and OBS. It is basically a toy right now.
For the past few weeks, manycam (latest version, macos 11.1) will periodically freeze the video during a zoom call. If I reboot, it works fine for several days, then it starts freezing again. Restarting manycam or deleting and readding the webcam will unfreeze for only a few minutes.
I am not sure how MacOS processes work, however on Windows what I found is by killing the virtual Manycam process it resets it for me and the CPU usage is fine. For some reason if it stays open too long it starts to use more and more CPU. I am guessing some of my other apps, like teams, discord, skype etc are trying to access it in the background causing it to happen.

This is not a Zoom issue, but rather a Manycam and Sonoma issue. if you go to the Manycam community support forum you will see other Manycam users are having the same issue in Teams, Facebook, Google hangouts and other applications.

I had the same problem as y’all. Downloading the latest Zoom Workplace, which claims to be Version 6.1.11 (39163) but which IIRC was called “version 9 beta” at the download site, worked for me just fine. There were a couple of peculiarities with giving security permissions to the new libraries or features or something, but nothing out of the ordinary. Hope it works for you!

I just updated Windows since I received an alert to load the most current update. I did that late yesterday. Not sure if that has anything to do with it, but probably is the issue with the driver failing.
Windows 10 sometimes uninstalls some software during updates, this happend to me once with ManyCam. Simply reinstalling ManyCam solves the issue.More details can be found here -base/webcam-driver/
I did however, load your website Manycam version again and I did not delete the version that was currently on my computer. The effects carried over into the version I reloaded. For a few days, the UTube videos did work, but now they are not working again. Are you working on finding the glitch between Manycam and Utube? When do you think it might be resolved?

Mason spent his last day visiting with family members. At approximately 6:00 p.m. he was escorted to the death watch cell. In December 1980, Mason gained admittance to the home of an elderly couple under the pretext of selling and delivering firewood. Mason handcuffed the victims to chairs and robbed them of $47,000 worth of jewelry and coins. At the time of his arrest in February 1981, Mason had in his possession a loaded sawed-off shotgun and pistol and other ammunition. He was convicted and sentenced in April 1982.
