前田司郎さんの『生きてるものはいないのか』（白水社）を読了。以前に読んだときも面白かったと思うが、また違った面白さを感じた。脚本を読むのは好きなのだが、登場人物が多いと頭の中でごっちゃになってしまい、場面の状況がわからなくなってくるときがある。人形をいくつか並べ、この人が誰、この人が誰とか決めながら読むといいのだろうか。三谷幸喜さんが戯曲を書くとき、人形のようなものを登場人物の数だけ用意し、その人形たちを動かしながら戯曲を書くと、「あ、この人さっきからずっと黙っているな」と、しゃべっていない人に気づいたりするようなことを何かで話していた。複数の人が登場する、密室劇を書く際にも役立つということだった。
乱暴なまとめ方かもしれないが、そのような内容だったと記憶している。
