島森路子さんがお亡くなりになった。天野祐吉さんと島森路子さんが編集長だった頃、雑誌「広告批評」を毎月のように買っていた。あの雑誌がなければ、コピーライターにならなかったような気がするし、そもそも広告に興味を持たなかったかもしれない。関西にいたときの僕は、東京（首都圏といってもいい）の広告の多くを「広告批評」を通して知った。ずいぶん前のこと、漫画家の内田春菊さんにお会いしたとき、しゃべってもいないことを書く失礼な人もいるけど、島森さんは絶対にそんなことをしないし、インタビューされた側が読んでも納得のいくことしか書かないし、インタビュアーとしてあれほど優秀な人はいない、というような感じで島森さんをベタボメされていたなぁ。島森さんのご冥福を祈りいたします。
