今朝、北海道から届いた野菜。箱を開けてみたら、ジャガイモ、さつまいも、玉ねぎをはじめ、いくつか入っていた。
その中から、「何これ？」と思ったのが、これ。「カリフラワー ブロッコリー 掛け合わせ」で検索すると、「ロマネスコ」という名の野菜だとわかった。その存在、妻はすでに知っていたみたいだけど、僕は今回初めて目にしたような気がする。意識していなかっただけで、前にもちらっと見たことがあったりするのかなぁ。
ウィキペディアの「ロマネスコ」ページには、「16世紀にローマ近郊で開発されたとされている。これには異論もあり、ドイツでも同時期から栽培の記録がある」とある。
ロマネスコだけで単品撮ってもよかったのだけど、ズッキーニを組み合わせて撮影してみた。
「ロマネスコの花蕾は幾何学的な配置となっており、個々の蕾が規則正しい螺旋を描いて円錐を成している」という記述も、ウィキペディアにあり、この「幾何学的」という言葉に刺激され、人の顔のように配置してしまったのかな。よくわからないけど。

One thing I would like to say is the fact that before getting more laptop memory, consider the machine in to which it is installed. When the machine is running Windows XP, for instance, the particular memory limit is 3.25GB. Using in excess of this would simply constitute any waste. Make sure one’s mother board can handle the upgrade quantity, as well. Good blog post.
